Rage of the Abyss: Unboxing 25 Pre-Release Packs

Updated: Aug 18, 2025

The wait is over! Whether you’re a fan or not, Rage of the Abyss is making waves, and this set is a big deal. Today, I’m unboxing 25 pre-release packs to see what treasures await. Before we dive in, don’t forget to hit that like button, subscribe, and turn on notifications so you never miss a geeky update!

The Excitement Begins

Alright, I’ve got my 25 pre-release packs ready to go! Some of them are backwards—why? No idea—but that won’t stop the excitement. Also, I’ve got the field center card from the pre-release tournament. Time to split the packs into two piles and start opening!

First Pulls: A Strong Start

Right off the bat, we pull Dominus Impulse—a massive card right now. It’s interesting how this version has gained more traction than its predecessors. Is it pre-release hype, or does it have hidden potential? Only time will tell.

After a few duds, we move on to Flying Mary, a Link Card that might find a place in my Zombie Deck. I’ve always been a fan of Red-Eyes Zombie cards, so this could be a fun addition.

Interesting Finds and Nostalgic Moments

  • Shark Drake: A card I’ve always wanted to experiment with.

  • Six Samurai: Bring back memories! A friend used to run this deck back in the day.

  • Mulcharmy: One of the most sought-after pulls! I still need two more, but pulling this in a pre-release pack was a huge win.

Searching for the Big One

As the packs dwindle, I still haven’t found the Centurion Synchro I’m looking for. However, some notable cards show up:

  • New Fire King Card: Not widely talked about, but interesting for Fire King fans.

  • Fiend Smith – Agnes Dei: Seems decent, but no major buzz yet.

  • Eria, the Water Channeler: This could be a solid addition to water decks. I’ve used the Wind Channeler in my Speedroid Deck, so this might make a comeback in a refined build.

The Moment of Truth

Just as I start getting worried, Primera Primus finally appears! This card is a game-changer for the Centurion Deck, fixing some block points, especially in my version that uses Junk Speeder. This is a huge pull that will significantly impact my Pure Centurion and Junk Speeder Centurion builds.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m really happy with this unboxing! I managed to get:

  • Mulcharmy ✅

  • Centurion Synchro – Primera Primus ✅

I may not have pulled the absolute top-tier cards from the set, but for my needs, this was a fantastic haul. What do you think? Should I have waited instead of grabbing these pre-release packs? Let me know in the comments!

Stay tuned for more unboxing, and as always—keep it geeky!
