“It's a 60-page story split across three 20-page issues,” PJ explained. “It’s a complete story, and once it’s done, I can pivot back to Taking Out the Dead.” PJ emphasized the importance of prioritizing Undisputed at the moment to ensure its success before revisiting his zombie story.

The central character in Undisputed is Hack, a seasoned wrestler who is the reigning and defending Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.
The comic kicks off with Hack retiring and leaving his boots in the ring, a symbol of finality in the pro wrestling world. But even though he’s hung up his boots, the Undisputed Championship still looms over him.
In the Undisputed world, the Undisputed Championship is akin to the World Cup — contested only once every four years. PJ elaborated, “At the end of the first six pages, Hack is retired, but he’s still the reigning champion. Someone from his past may want to take that strap off him, and that sets up the conflict.”

For PJ, Hack’s decision to retire and leave his boots in the ring isn’t just about his personal journey. PJ explained, “When a wrestler leaves his boots in the ring, they’re done. It’s a statement. You can’t just walk back in after that.”
